Scientific data confirms that more than 95% of deaf and hard of hearing kids have some residual hearing, which can be better with the use of quality hearing aids, rehabilitation programs, and proper assistance and training. These children can – over a while – begin to hear well enough to respond to spoken word and hence, integrate well with the society.
Backed by philanthropic donors, NGOs, and manufacturers of hearing aids, JOSH has been able to provide digital hearing aids to more than 1000+ underprivileged hearing impaired children-while establishing twelve special schools that offer teaching digitally.
