The only Indian Audiologist to have received the Humanitarian Award by the American Academy of Audiology in 2012.
Devangi Dalal, the co-founder of Josh Foundation, has more than 29 years of expertise in the field of audiology and speech therapy.
Devangi completed her Bachelor of Science in Audiology & Speech Therapy from Nair Hospital, Mumbai, in the year 1991, and started to pursue her career as an audiologist.
Devangi set a goal to establish a highly developed center to coach public speaking and voice modulation to the hearing impaired and give them a specialized voice and speech therapy, to help them unify with society.
She works with hearing impaired children and adults and helps them lead an everyday life. Devangi supports scientific and certified methods of hearing tests and assessments for hearing evaluation. Based on the degree of the person’s hearing impairment, the right digital hearing aid is determined. With extensive support of philanthropists and leading digital hearing aid manufacturers like Widex Hearing Aids for one, Josh foundation offers hearing aids for children from lower economic strata of the society.
Devangi Dalal strongly believes hearing impairment is not a disability. You need an accurate hearing aid and treatment for the hearing impaired to experience a normal healthy life, and it’s not an unattainable vision anymore. We can make it possible.
